Scranton is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Scranton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My husband and I came here a few weeks ago. We love authentic Greek food and decided to take a chance. It's a very quaint place with a nice ambiance. We had the chicken souvlaki. It was a fairly large portion of food well worth the price. It came with 2 skewers of large chunks of chicken, a small Greek salad, and fries. It was delicious. I also ordered a side dish of stuffed grape leaves. I have had stuffed grape leaves in numerous places, but this was the best I have ever tasted. Our server was very nice and came back to the table several times to see if we needed anything. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they need to update the women's bathroom. The soap dispenser was missing from the wall and left without a new one. There was a container of hand soap on the sink. There was no toilet paper in one of the stalls. The bathroom just didn't seem to be taken care of properly. Overall, everything else was great and we will be dining here in the future.

Visited The Greek American Grill for lunch and ordered a lamb gyro. To my surprise when I went to pay and was told $19.03, I did tell cashier I only ordered 1 gyro and she stated that is the price for one gyro and tax. I paid for my order and ate it in my car. The gyro was good but I thought for almost $20.00 it would have been packed with meat and vegetables, which it wasn't. I won't be visiting this establishment anytime soon, not at their prices. High costs are hitting all of us, but these prices are out of control.

Based on my other reviews, my eyes are generally MUCH larger than my belly, and I often travel with other food explorers so the spreads can be a bit nuts. This, on the other hand, still filled me up but was definitely more of a daily-dose kind of Greek experience. I really wasnβt sure if I was tasting a little freshly sliced fennel cooked down with those beautifully sweated onions, and the owners were actually IN Greece (doing research, I assume :) so I didnβt pry, but thatβs a testament to the sausage. I did some research; their loukaniko (generally, Greek pork sausage with orange zest, garlic and spices like coriander) must have some oregano and fennel worked in their because it was bright, pleasant and warded off the garlic burps that come with most kielbasa in the area. The onions were an incredible accompaniment with the sausage as well; they were noticeably fabulous without truly being caramelized or sauteed; squeeze of lemon at the end, I assume, too. The roasted feta with honey had a nice balance of sweet and salty; Iβm not sure if it was from pairing it with the pita, the feta itself or if it was just lightly salted with the honey and sesame before cooking down into a goo

My wife and I have dined here twice and loved it! I love the gyro meat, my wife loves the falafel, and we both love the fries and Greek salad which has fresh chopped tomatoes and cucumbers as well as great Kalamata olives! They have a very expansive menu with everything from breakfast to seafood, steaks, sandwiches, Greek specialty items as well as a vast selection of deserts! Our gyro sandwiches were wonderfully large and equally tasty! The first time we ordered a platter to get a taste of many items and were very happy with that experience π
